2015 was a year for the books.
Strangely (stupidly?) enough I didn’t blog a lot, so let’s hope I’ll remember it all without evidence in dated blog posts.
I have been thinking about how to do the yearly recap this time, it’s not as easy as usual because I don’t have a lot of entries to back up the rambling. So I’m gonna ramble, mkay?
Self Portrait for my series A Lotta Dancing. "Rotvälta"
At new years 2014 I decided that 2014 was going to be The year to be brave. And I think that turned out to be true, in many ways. At the start of 2015 I knew that big things were about to happen with Lights Out so I didn’t really decide on a plan of action. If anything, I decided to follow along on whatever were to happen.
And that has sort of been the theme for this entire year.
Just follow along, and see what happens.
A lot of things have happened.
2015 started with a whole lot of waiting. David were in talks with Hollywood about turning Lights Out into a feature film, and the plans were so far along that we knew we would have to relocate to Los Angeles for a while. We didn’t know when though, and we didn’t know for sure. Hard to plan your life when you don’t know for sure.
I blogged a bit:
From blog post At the Getaway House
We kept busy making things. We had an idea for a new horror short and went location scouting in the woods. Sweden decided to turn into the most beautiful winter wonderland and we tried to work with it but it was just too cold and snowy for us, so we went home and made Attic Panic instead.
Self portraits taken at the hotel those first two weeks.
And then one day Hollywood called and said ”Can you come on Friday?”.
On the last day of March we took a plane to Los Angeles. We had a hotel to stay in for the first couple of weeks before we could find something a little more permanent.
In the first couple of weeks David didn’t have too much work to do, so we went to the zoo, had sandwiches with a view from Mulholland drive and ate a lot of frozen yoghurt.
We made it our thing to have "dinner with a view".
I went into this entire adventure knowing that I would be alone a lot. And that I wouldn't have anything to do during the days. So I was kinda prepared, but it was still strange. To be in a country where I’m not allowed to work, where I don’t know anybody and where I don't have any of my things for jewelry making.

We moved to a tiny house in Burbank and I started to investigate our neighborhood.
During all this time it was still a secret to the world what David and I were even doing in LA.
For almost a year we carried around this huge secret about the most exciting thing in our lives, it makes for quite a lonely life not to be able to talk about such a huge thing.
Our families and closest friends knew of course and talking on the phone with them was always great.
I thought I was going to blog every day, but when I couldn’t tell all of you about the reasons behind our adventure in the first place, I just didn’t know how to blog anymore. And that feeling has been hard to shake (I hope I’ll want to blog more in 2016 but for the everyday life there’s always instagram. Go follow!).

But then, in June, we could start telling the world.
Self portraits at our Burbank home in the top two photos, and at our Hollywood Hills home in the bottom two.
We visited friends in the Santa Cruz mountains a weekend in May. They took us to the beautiful Point Lobos beach and I blogged one of my favorite posts of the year.
During this time we started to work on getting me into the movie as well. It was a nerve wracking time for me, because what if I came all the way from Sweden, for a shortfilm I was part of making, and didn’t get anything. That would have sucked so hard.
I was scared, and nervous and felt very powerless. I’m not used to not being able to make things happen for myself. And Hollywood is a scary place.
Especially if you are a woman. And you maybe don’t fit into the very narrow Hollywood ideals.

In July the part was mine. But I needed a visa to be able to work, so after applying for that a whole new game of waiting started before the All Clear came.
July was also the month when David started shooting Lights Out.
I went to the film set every other day. It was amazing to see how everything worked, but most of all it was wonderful to see David direct.
David needed a photo of him looking "Directorly" so I took this of him. It's my favorite photo ever of David.
Some behind the scenes photos from my days on set.
Being a Director’s wife on set is not the same as being an Actor on set. Even though it was nice to be able to come and go as I wanted, it was AMAZING to be there as a part of the crew. A meaningful person for the making of the movie.
I had a trailer. And hair and makeup people that came in between scenes and made sure every hair lay right and that my makeup didn’t move in the heat.
Being in all that hustle and bustle was fantastic!
After shooting was over David had a few days off and we went to a cabin in the woods to relax. It was heaven.
These photos from El Matador Beach went unblogged because my computer broke down right around that time. I really love them though, so I'm showing you now instead. I especially like the photo of the boy and his shadow sketching. I also like the one with the young couple hugging. They had their engagement photos taken there on the beach and I sneakily took a photo of them while they were being photographed.
We went to Palm Springs and celebrated our second wedding anniversary. It was insanely hot. We drove around and stopped to take photos that I showed you in the post Lost in the desert.
I spent a lot of my days this year walking around with my camera. When we moved to Hollywood Hills in september I documented one of my long walks in photos. A walk over the hills.
We moved from Burbank to Hollywood hills and it was like something switched in me. The neighborhood was beautiful and I could walk places every day. I started taking lessons from an Accent reduction coach, not to totally rid my accent but to feel more secure in talking English. It’s hard to act in another language than your own- All those little nuances that you know without even thinking about them aren't there anymore. I felt like I was starting from scratch with my acting, and that is not a great feeling when you’ve been acting since you were eleven.
I needed to build confidence in my work all over again.
The accent classes were exactly what I needed!
I also went to improv classes and that was great for me, as I’m used to being completely in control on stage or when making the horror shorts with David. In Improv I had to just let go.
It was so hard. Fun but hard. I’m going to keep taking improv classes during 2016. And acting classes too.
On my birthday in November we went to Catalina Island. Such a beautiful little island! I blogged about our trip in the post Birthday weekend on catalina island
Birthday gal and pelican!
One day we went looking for a war era enigma that I'd read about on the internet. It was like finding ourselves in an Indiana Jones movie!
Some self portraits from in and around the pre production office for Lights Out.
During all this I've been working on a project by myself. I decided over a year ago to really take advantage of the fact that I would be alone a lot in LA, and make a book of self portraits. I bought a tripod for my iphone and set out to capture scenes everywhere I went. Sort of like learning Los Angeles through self portraits. That book is finished now and I'll show it to you soon. It's called Alone in LA and I'm extremely proud of it.
The highlight was when I had the opportunity to roam around an abandoned hospital two days in a row. I took so many self portraits in those scary hallways.
Anyways. The last couple of months of 2015 was all about finding routines, sort of. We were still living in tiny furnished apartments and had realized we needed to find something more permanent. Because we’re staying in LA for a good while. I spent my days walking, drinking tea at cafes and making the photo book Alone in LA.
Probably my favorite self portrait of the year, if I HAVE to choose just one. Taken at our friends place in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Going home to Sweden over christmas was wonderful, but you know what? I missed LA.
We had a new apartment waiting for us when we got back, and I can't wait to start turning that place into a home.
That’s what’s been missing. A sense of home.
When we now got back to LA it’s with so much more confidence than when we got here on the last day of march and I can't wait to see what 2016 brings.
If I dare to hope (and dream and plan) it’s for a daily life that feels fulfilling, new projects- together as well as by myself- and a true feeling of belonging.

Oh, and did I tell you? Lights Out is coming to theaters July 22! ISN’T IT FRICKING AWESOME?!?!?!

2014 was a weird year.
Can't really explain in any other way. It was absolutely bonkers.
I started off the year with lots of ideas and a promise to myself that I was going to try to be more brave - I even called 2014 the Year of Creative Bravery- and I set a few projects in motion that I felt so much about. That got totally turned upside down by one, shall we call it, incident.
Lights Out went viral.
It happened over night and changed everything.
All my projects, my blog, my jewelry and my plans sort of had to slow down for the rest of the year to just let all the adventure unfold. And it did. Slooooowly and unsurely.
It's been a year of so much waiting and hoping and dreaming and sometimes I've been extremely frustrated and other times I've felt as calm as a "filbunke" (Swedish expression that means very very calm. Like super slow.)
I've blogged for many years (since 2008) but I really wasn't prepared for people talking about me on the internet. Commenting on my body and looks both in positive -but mostly in negative- ways.
Especially since people seems to be of the impression that I am now rich and famous and should be able to take the bad with the good.
It required me to really reflect on some things. Like, how do I read the comments, the good and the bad, without letting them get to me. Well, the bad at least.
Because internet comments works in mysterious ways. I can get ten really lovely ones and then along comes a meanie and says I'm fat and ugly and untalanted and then that is all I can hear. Over and over and over in my head.

I read somewhere that the reason why negative comments hurt so bad is because when we read them we hear our own voice saying all those bad things to ourselves, and that makes it hit us harder.
I pondered on all of it for a while and then I decided it was time to write about this in Being a Woman in a Short Film Gone Viral.
To say "no, I don't accept this. It is NOT OK to talk about me this way."
I know it won't stop the mean comments but it very much made me stronger. I had said No, to them- but mostly to myself.

It also really helped that my post was picked up by a local radio station that wanted to have me talking about my experience on air. It was so much fun and I realised I had really thought all of this through and had come out of it with a better confidence.

Plus I have a folder in my phone with screencaps of every nice comment about me, so when I do get a bad one I can look in that folder and be a happy person again.
It's the small things, you know.
Practicing some Strong Looks that might come in handy when talking with sexists, bigots and other stupid people.
Now to the part about 2014 being the year of creative bravery.
I started off the year super hard and wrote my most personal blog post ever. To be brave.
It was about how being bullied as a child has affected me all the way into my 30's. It still does, actually, and I think it always will. But to write this text made me feel a whole lot freer. I don't need to pretend that it didn't mean anything to me. It meant a whole lot, and I strive to keep pushing against my fears and make myself become amazing because of it.
In other brave news I did something that I never spoke about on my blog.
I applied to a photography school.
It's been something I've been wanting to do for a long time but never really had the guts to before.
So I applied. I took photos for the application tests and I got called on an interview.
It felt so good. I was so happy when I left the school and thought: I have done my very best.
The day before midsummer's eve I got a letter that let me know I didn't get in, but was put on their waiting list.
I was nr 6 that day.
When classes had started I was nr 1 in line. And there it stopped.
I can't explain to you how sad I was. I had hoped so incredibly much for this.
The thing is: My number one dream in life has always been acting but a few years ago I kind of gave up a little.
I was tired of trying and started to make jewelry and take photos instead because that I could do on my own. And I fell in love with it.
So when another dream fell through it hurt a lot.
The photos above are from the day when I took the photos for my application test to the photo school. They are not the photos I applied with (they were on a certain theme that has nothing to do with rainy cemeteries but were taken there and included a pink donut) but I think I will keep those to myself. For now at least. I'm very proud of them, though.
Just some photos of David, because he's puuuurdy.
And then everything started to happen with Lights Out and I started to feel hope again. For acting. My first and biggest dream.
Could it be possible?
And that's where I am today. Thinking that maybe it is. Maybe it's time to give my ultimate dream a new chance. To say to the world yet again: I want to be an actress.
In film, on stage. Writing with David. That is my dream, my plan and my goal.
And the jewelry and photography gets to tag along but they are not on the forefront right now. Acting is.
It is scary to say. But I'm being brave now. It is 2015 at least.
When I looked through all my posts and photos from 2014 I realised that even though it has felt like everything has been put on hold because of all the waiting and hoping, I have still done a lot of things.

Here's the short version:

TRAVEL
We went to Copenhagen a beautiful spring weekend to do something together after spending so much time thinking/reading/talking/working Lights Out and everything surrounding it.
Here's those posts:
Friday Evening
Sunny Saturday
Lazy Sunday
On midsummer David and I went on a weekend trip to Varberg and Tjörn.

And midsummer's day at the beautiful Tjörn Island.
We went to Österlen a few times too of course.
A spring day in Rörum has some really nice photos, I think.
When it was our wedding anniversary we went on a roadtrip that was so fun and exciting!

Anniversary Roadtrip: Friday. Where we found a fairytale forest.
Anniversary Roadtrip: Sunday. Part 1. Includes an old railway bridge, a frog and an abandoned house.
Anniversary Roadtrip: Sunday. Part 2 At the wonderful and exciting and weird car cemetery.
I love all of the blogposts from our roadtrip! It was the best way to celebrate our first anniversary as married, and we hope that we'll be able to go on a roadtrip adventure every year around that date.
And then in November we went to Los Angeles so that David could meet up with his agents, managers and producers. It was a great trip and now I really can't wait for 2015 to really get started.

PHOTOGRAPHY
During 2015 I had photoshoots with the gorgeous Ruby and my Tangled Triangle necklaces.
With the beautiful Ida for my This Growing Collection.
I photographed my father Peder Losten for his new record Fritiof & Grabbarna.
I started my photography self portrait series A Lotta Dancing by dancing in a forest outside St Olof in the south of Sweden.
I also modeled my Tangled Triangle necklaces in a photoshoot I did together with David called Old Timey Diva Meets Tangled Triangle.

FILMS
David and I made a couple of new shortfilms that we wrote together.
Pictured
Not So Fast that might be my favourite.
Coffer
And See You Soon that we made for Raindance film festival's 14 second horror film competition.
I made a video for the release of This Growing Collection where you can hear me sing.
And in december I made the wonderfully silly Advent Calendar sitcom A Whole Lotta Christmas.
But, of course. The most revolutionary things that happened for both David and me 2014 revolved around Lights Out. We won Best Short at FANT Bilbao.
Lots of festivals around the world screened Lights Out. To name a few: Dead By Dawn, FilmQuest, Fant Bilbao, Telluride, Horror Show Uppsala, International Short Film Festival, Hallucinations Collective, Festival Tous Courts, Horror Vision, Alcine 44 Spain, Braunschweig International Film Festival, Terrorfest Barcelona, Örebro Filmfestival, Fantastic Film Festival of Malaga, Synesthesia Film Festival, Meme Pas Peur, Gorefest, Narkolepsy Short Film Festival, Reading & Leeds Festival, Fascurt Barcelona, Cortopolis International Film Festival, Festival du Film Merveilleux.
Lights Out has been seen by a staggering amount of people now. Our youtube upload has 8.2 million views at the moment. Our vimeo upload has reached 9.6 million. There is another person that has uploaded the short and has almost 3 million views on it. Plus a bunch of others.
So 20 million views is probably to count it low.
So crazy amazing it really can't be grasped.

And there's a lot going on behind the scenes that I can't talk about yet but soooooon, hopefully!
Also:
The Theatre group I'm part of- Teater Esther- premiered the play Perfect Life AB that was written by our director Frida Hartvigsson after discussions from the group. It was a dark comedy that left the audience with a lot to think about afterwords. Teater Esther is such a huge part of my life. Perfect Life AB was our first own play and I'm so proud and happy to be a part of that awesome group!

The week before Christmas I attended the Christmas fair in the shopping mall Nordstan here in Gothenburg with my jewelry.
If you got a Lotta Losten jewelry piece for christmas: Hiiii! Hope you love it!
So let's get this year started, OK?
I have never really felt like this around new years before; I believe 2015 will be an adventure.
Wanna tag along? One of my wishes for the year is for me to blog more, so pop in here often.

Another thing I hope is to get to know more people- both on the internet and in real life, because one bad thing that all this waiting and hoping has done is make it quite a lonely year. When so much exciting stuff is happening that I can't talk about (yet!) it gets so much easier to just not talk to people.
So if you feel like I havent talked to you enough during 2014: 2015 is the year when I won't stop talking!

Tjingeling!

Hej hej!
Let's talk about 2013 for a while.
For me it was a year filled with so much love and adventures. Every year when I plan out these reviews and look back at all my posts throughout the past twelve months I'm always surprised over how much I've done. I think I have blogged less this year than any year before but the posts have been filled with so many photos and experiences I think I can safely say it was a good year.
So lets start this now!
January:
We started off the year with a trip to Österlen where it was wintery and cold as in all of Sweden at that time of 2013. It was a very long and hard winter here but in January I hadn't begun to hate it that much yet and could still appreciate the beauty of an ice covered beach. I also posted a large post from one of our walks over the stunning snowy hills.
I also wrote about a dream with snowflakes stuck in glistening bubbles that stayed in my memory for a long while.
February:
I stayed inside a lot this month and entertained myself by taking still life photos of pretty things. I showed you all of the Knick knacks in my window sill.
February was also the month when I introduced you to the Bush Willow Necklace Pendant.
David and I did venture outside on occasion and one of those times I brought my camera along for a stroll over the cemetery in the setting sun.
March:
It was still bitingly cold in Sweden by march so when David and I headed to USA and California for a couple of weeks it was with a severe longing for sun and warmth. I dont think I ever have wanted heat as much as I wanted it then. My body suffered so badly from a lack of D-vitamine, bright light and warm sun on my skin so when we arrived in the warmth I almost started to cry with happiness. It was just so needed.
The reason for us going there was that David's short film Ladyboy had the premiere at the Cinequest film festival in San Jose and David and his producer Claes had a few meetings with film studios in Hollywood. I had the pleasure of tagging along on the trip and it was such a fun two weeks!
I blogged quite a lot about our time in the states and as I'm very proud of every single one of those posts, here they are:
San Jose through my camera.
I had the great opportunity to meet up with my dear etsy friend Jillian and she showed us around the cute little town Capitola. Such a wonderful town and it was so great to get to know Jillian in real life!
Then we drove From San Jose to Hollywood where we stayed for the remainder of our USA trip.
I showed you 7 days, 7 ways in outfits.
We visited Venice Beach where it was too touristy for our tastes but I took many nice photos.
Fell totally in love with all the fluffy trees and Santa Monica Main Street.
And then the last post called LA Days.
April:
Spring had hardly arrived yet when my sister and niece came to Gothenburg in April. We went for a walk a few hours in the garden Trädgårdsföreningen that I love so much.
I blogged about people from long ago and realised that my iPhone was filled with photos of food, clothes and home so I turned that into the post Lately: Food, Style and Home wise.
And then I starred in Davids horror short Cam Closer.
May:
May was a busy month blog wise! It was SPRING and sunny and beautiful and everybody came out of their houses to enjoy the weather. I had been home sick for a long time and blogged An entire day: Health at last as a celebration. I showed you Behind the scenes of Cam Closer.
During my cold I got struck by creativity and made the Spear Cage and Drop Cage Pendants.
David and I had a Cherry blossom Saturday in the city and we actually bought David's wedding pocket watch that day but I was all secrets and teasing smiles in the blog post. Tihi.
It was 100 days until our wedding day and I let you all see our wedding invitations.
I had a fun filled wednesday with my best friend Johanna when she came to Gothenburg to rehearse my wedding make up and hang out for a couple of days.
One day David and I went location scouting at the old Papyrus factory. That was a dream I'd had for a long time and it was amazing to be able to see it for real!
At the end of may my mom visited us for the weekend and we went to fleamarkets and put together a tricky jigsaw puzzle.
June:
In the beginning of the month I went to Scotland to visit my friend Jennie. She was going to make my wedding dress so I came there to get measured and buy fabric (lots and lots of tulle!). It was a great week and since Jennie and I hadn't seen eachother for many many years it was amazing to get to spend time with her again. I made three posts from my time in Glasgow and took a few of my favourite photos from 2013 while over there. I loved to look through all three of these posts again during the last couple of days.
A few days in Scotland Part 1.
Pollok Park. Scotland Part 2.
A few days in Scotland Part 3.

When I came home I showed you what had happened over a month or so through my phone (Love love LOVE the first photo in this post).

I told you about my evenings running at the cemetery. I miss this so much during these dark months. I wish it could get lighter in the evenings soon so I could get back to my running routine again.

Then it was the fifth birthday of lottalosten.com and I celebrated with a jewelry giveaway and a photo giveaway. Many of you entered and I know that quite a few of you found your way here for the first time then. I hope you like it here and that you continue to pop by to see what's up in my life, it makes me so very happy!
July:
As opposed to the extremely cold winter it was a very warm summer in Sweden. David filmed his short film Wallace and I was acting coach for the project having auditions in june and helping the actors find their roles during our three filming days. It was such a terrific experience and I hope to do similar things in the future. I had a little acting role in it too but that scene had to be cut in post production. When I think back to those few days though I hardly remember the acting part because it was such a little part of the adventure and it was far more rewarding to work with the teenagers and getting them to feel sure of themselves and their roles. Here you can see the post from the first day of filming Wallace and here is some preview photos from the day at Papyrus when we filmed. I also had a photoshoot with my friend Hanna that turned out so great and I showed you Part 1 of the Hanna at Papyrus photos.

August:
August was Wedding month!
David and I went to Copenhagen to stock up on alcohol for the party and spent a few days in the lovely city and then we drove straight to Rörum where my family where. The post A week away: Copenhagen and Rörum is one of my favourite Iphone photo posts to this day because it just contains soooo much adventure and love! My nephew Alfred was all new in this world and I got to see him for the first time.
In the middle of the month it was time to go to Scotland again! This time David followed along and it was really nice to be able to show David the places and things I had discovered on my trip there in june. I showed you snippets of a week in Glasgow and then it was WEDDING TIME! It was a truly wonderful day and I can't describe how amazing it all was. Everything turned out even better than we hoped for. Both David and I wanted a very calm and stress free day without any rules and that was exactly how it was. Beautiful, warm, loving and so very much like us in the ways of party and ceremony. I still have lots of photos to show you from that day and I hope to get to it soon.
For our honeymoon we stayed a week at Österlen and only did things we wanted, like having a romantic picnic on an old fort by the sea.
August was the BEST.
September:
Time had finally started to wind down a little and I took the opportunity to blog about everything that had happened during august.
In A bright spot, a dark dancer I let you have the first look at the vintage nurse cape i bought in Glasgow.
David and I exchanged pocket watches instead of rings at our wedding and I made a post to give you a closer look at our wedding pocket watches. They mean a lot to us.

I finally got around to edit the photos I took with my real camera during our Copenhagen trip in august and blogged Memories of summer: Copenhagen.
We bought a new camera the days after the weding and I turned into the Super Hero Photo Girl and then I showed you how I made my wedding shoes in my first ever DIY.
I also FINALLY found the time to post Hanna in Papyrus Part 2.

October:
Autumn came and I worked very hard to give my etsy shop a much needed makeover. I removed all the items in the shop and took new photos and polished up all of the descriptions. It was a huge job and I am really proud of the result. It looks so much more clean and fresh now.
October was theatre month for me and the rest of Teater Esther. We had three shows of the play SÃ¥rskorpor and it was a success! All the shows were sold out and I am so incredibly proud to be part of a theatre group where we make everything ourselves with the help from lovely friends around us. So rewarding and fun!
David and I celebrated two months of being husband and wife with a very cute GIF and at the end of the month we went to Österlen and I posted an entire day: Autumn at Österlen .
November:
We were at Österlen and I made An entire day Iphone only post.
We came home to Gothenburg with two large bags of apples and I peeled a gazillion of them before I was able to peel an entire apple in one go. The pride I felt for myself knew no limits.
I took it upon myself to show you that november isn't only grey as so many people seem to think. A walk over the hills at Österlen took care of that. All those colours!
I got myself a Flower crown addiction and was having an incredibly creative month where I created the Tangled Triangle Necklace that first got to be called The Geometric Tilt Necklace. When it was time to take photos I had a clear picture in my head and wanted to look like som kind of Rita Hayworthy type movie star from the 50's. Here is the result.
This month ended with Memories from summer: When we found half a bridge. I love to go on these kinds of photo adventures with David. I hope 2014 brings us many opportunities like this.
And lastly December:
Not so very long ago and I still havent posted everything I have planned from this month.
I attended the christmas fair in the mall Nordstan for a week and got to meet so many lovely customers. On christmas it struck me that now many many people have gotten Lotta Losten jewelry and photos as christmas gifts and it's such a weird and wonderful feeling. I hope every single one of them are loved by their new owners.
Of course, I created the Advent Calender Lotta's Christmas GIFs and here are some of my favourites:

Day 4.
Day 11.
Day 12.
Day 16.
Day 20.
Day 21.

And so a few days ago I showed you Lights out, the horror short David and I did a few weeks ago as a submission to the Who's there Challenge. I hope you keep your fingers crossed for us! At the end of january we will know if we are one of the finalists.

Thank you 2013 and hello there 2014!
I hope it will be one fabulous year for everybody, and that I get to show you lots of fun, beautiful, creative and weird things over the coming twelve months that is 2014.
Thank you so much for following along!

Tjingeling!

Well, well, if it isn't me again!

I left you high and dry there for a while. Not at all intentionally, it just happened.
But hey! It's time to sum up the year that was 2012.

It was a really interesting and adventure filled year, for sure. Let us have a look at what really happened from january to december of 2012.
January
The year started off with a lot of script writing. David and I were working on a screenplay for a movie and we went away from the city a few times to concentrate. First to a beautiful winter wonderland and then to Österlen where we celebrated David's birthday and I showed you how one of our days there could look like. This was my favourite post of this month, I think
February
This was the month when I went to visit my dear friend Camilla in London! We had such an amazing time and you can see all my posts from the trip here, here and here. Really love all these posts.

In february David and I was almost finished with our screenplay and we celebrated by spreading the pages all over our living room floor.
And one day we had a round table reading with some clever friends of ours. That was a truly terrific day. It was quite overwhelming to have people read and comment on something you've worked so hard on. And even more so when they seemed to love it!
March
Spring came this month and I spent many days in the park Trädgårdsföreningen, drinking coffee, watching people, hanging out with friends and just enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

I made a little video called Have a fika with me about the swedish word Fika. In this post I wrote in english as well as swedish because you were starting to drop in from all over the world.

And then I showed you around my work space (it does not look as neat and tidy today...)
April
This was a really busy month for me because I was planning a complete re-launch of lottalosten.com and the preparations were many.

I had a fun photoshoot with my friend Lovisa at one of my favourite photo locations in Gothenburg. Amazing place and beautiful friend - that's a great combo for a photoshoot!
May
Finally it was time for my big re-launch!
I had worked so hard and it felt great to start blogging in english as well. The first few months I tried to write my posts in both swedish and english, but after a while it felt a little too much so I started to blog exclusively in english instead.
I showed you what all the little bits and pieces on this page means.

May was a month filled with flea market adventures! I found so many great things and you can see some of my flea market posts here , here and here .

It was a great time for evening walks at the cemetery , warm days strolling around in Trädgårdsförening and in the city together with David.
June
In June we went to Thailand! It was part business trip and part vacation. I took a gazillion photos and I'm very proud of all my many posts from there. First day in Bangkok, the adventurous second day in Bangkok, then the trip to Hua Hin, the visit to monkey mountain, the day we went on a little urban exploration adventure and the beaches and night markets.
I told you about the ladyboy Jessica who was the reason behind why we went to Thailand in the first place. Such a lovely person with an extraordinary story to tell.
And then I introduced you to Betty and Dolly.

This was also the month when I let you meet my fabulous theatre group Teater Esther.
July
Summer time in Sweden can be so beautiful. David and I went to Österlen to spend some time there with my parents.
We went for walks in the lovely evening sun and over the mystical misty hills.

When we came home to Gothenburg again we went and saw the new Batman movie and I was really angry with the movie business and the gender roles that they portray.
August
I went to see my dear sister and niece for a couple of days and had a lovely time with them in Stockholm.

I made a really large necklace.

I had a great time at the music festival Way out west.

One day all of us in Teater Esther went on a little fieldtrip to take some poster photos for the play we were rehearsing.

The last days of august were spent in Österlen where we started to write on a new screenplay. I took some photos of David and an old house and of David and some sheep.
September
This was an exciting month! David and I went to South Africa because a friend of mine was getting married and we were invited as both guests and photographer/filmer.
I fell in love with the nature there and took about 4500 photos during that week. I have yet to show you the photos from the wedding but I did blog about the beautiful surroundings, the visit at Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and a romantic walk with us, the montains and some wild horses.
October
Autumn came with lots of exciting events!
Teater Esther gave our first two shows ever! As it was our first play as a group we only did two shows, but they sold out and it was the best feeling in the world to put on a play completely by ourselves. We made it all: acting, costumes, set, props and coffee and cookies for the intermission.
Here are some rehearsal photos from a couple of days before our opening night.

David and I was working on the screenplay for our next movie and we went on a search for the perfect filming location.
And right at the end of the month, when the leaves on the trees were a beautiful bright orange, we started filming our movie that is called Allmänt Jävla Bäng.

I also told you about a bag that were once my mother's.
November
We started off the month with taking our little film crew to Österlen for a week of filming. Had so much fun and learned a lot during this busy week.
You will get to see more of what's happening with this movie soon, I hope.

My dad released a book and I'm the photographer for most of the photos in it.

And then I had a week selling jewlery and photos at the christmas fair in Nordstan , meeting lots of lovely customers (and some crazy people as well).
December
This was not long ago, you should remember.
I guess you know all about my advent calendar? If you don't, or if you just want to see it all over again because it was THAT amazing, you can click here.

So, that was 2012.
It feels like it was the start of many things. Some of them didn't really come through and some did. Some will maybe, hopefully, definitely see the light of day during this exciting year.

One thing I know for sure: I will tell you all about it when it happens.
